Beth

Founder

Beth founded The Rethreadery in 2009 with minimal sewing experience and a passion for giving thrifted pieces another life. For her, fashion was always more than clothing—it was a form of self-expression, identity and storytelling.

Over the years, she worked within some of the largest fast fashion and home goods companies, where she witnessed firsthand the waste, overproduction and contradictions behind many so-called '“ethical” brands. Rather than continuing to fight those systems from within, she chose to focus her energy on building something different.

She began collecting knowledge, materials, skills and creative community—spending years experimenting, learning, creating and refining her craft while balancing full-time corporate work alongside her growing vision.

That vision evolved into Rethread Collective: a space centered around creative reuse, thoughtful craftsmanship and collaboration. Through reworked garments, reclaimed materials and partnerships with independent makers, the collective aims to extend the life of existing goods while fostering a more intentional, inclusive and community-driven approach to design.

Rooted in the belief that progress matters more than perfection, ReThread Collective exists to prove that meaningful change can begin on a local level—one repaired, reworked and reimagined piece at a time.

Ella

Designer

Ella discovered sewing in high school and quickly became captivated by the creative possibilities of working with textiles by hand. What began as a hobby soon grew into a passion for upcycling and reworking old materials into something meaningful and new.

Her introduction to sustainable design came through quilting, where she started creating keepsake quilts for family and friends using old t-shirts and sentimental fabrics. Drawn to the stories and memories held within worn materials, Ella developed a thoughtful, personal approach to creative reuse that continues to inspire her work today.

Outside of the studio, Ella spends much of her free time volunteering at her best friends horse rescue farm—one of her favorite places to be. Surrounded by animals and nature, she finds constant inspiration in the care, patience and connection that shape both her creative process and everyday life.

Mama Kat

Designer

Mama Kat is Rethread Collective’s resident crochet artist, known for tranforming creative ideas into one-of-a-kind handmade pieces. While her specialty is traditional yarn work, she also enjoys incorporating upcycled materials like recycled t-shirts into her designs. Every piece is thoughtfully handcrafted with care, creativity and sustainability in mind.
